HARD WORKING BOSS

Hard Working Boss is the solo project of British musician and visual artist Jim Sheppard. Based in Paris for 20 years, his sound is characterised by playful melodies and biting lyrics. His latest piano-based music is of a more poignant nature, exploring the big questions in a quirky manner.

The move to Paris harkened experimentations with alternate guitar tunings, irreverent lyrics and a lo-fi aesthetic that resulted in the critically acclaimed album BONJOUR FUCKER. 7 years later, keeping the acerbic lyrics and nods to other artists (Van Halen,  The Beatles, Elton John) Jim returned with a 2nd album drenched in 80s synths. REVULA was chosen as one of the top 100 albums of 2020 by Magic RPM.

Fast forward to 2024 with the release of Unfinished Songs, and follow-up singles in 2025, HWB  is rumoured to working on a third album. SIGN UP on the mailing list so that you don't miss any news!
